Letters to My Son - June

Friday, June 20, 2014

I'm taking part in a blog circle with some other fabulous women, where each month I will include a letter to my boy along with a few pictures that capture the emotion and love I feel for him.  I hope that you will enjoy this feature as much I have enjoyed the process, and will also take the leap to the next blog in the circle each month.

Dear sweet boy,

You are at such a fun age right now.  I love watching you learn and explore.  When we went up to your Grandma and Grandpa's house they had a new Cozy Coupe for you to play with.  At first you were timid and not sure you wanted to play with the peddle car.  But, with some coaxing from your Uncle and Grandma you decided that it wasn't such a bad toy after all.

You would get in the car and get out of the car over and over (and I loved it even more because you would give me a hug in-between every car "trip").  You thought it was just too funny when we suggested you go to the store for us.

The days pass so quickly, before we know it you will be ready to actually drive a real car.  I can't even let my mind go there.  For right now, you are still my little boy that I can carry to bed, and I'll focus on soaking up the moment and loving you forever.

Keep exploring, keep learning, keep growing.
All my love,
Your Mommy

Please take the leap to continue on with the circle and read Lori's letter (and I must say, her processing is beautiful) .
