You Made Me a Mother
Sunday, May 11, 2014
When you are a little girl you play the role of mommy from an early age as you tuck your baby dolls into cribs, change their clothes and feed them magic bottles that empty when they are tipped. When you grow older, and the play times become realities, it turns out it is nothing like playing house. It is so. much. better. The love is unlike anything I've ever know. The joys are greater, the sorrows harder, but everyday becomes better than the last.
On Mother's Day, I celebrate my mom and all she has done for me; for showing me and teaching me what it means to be mom. I also celebrate this little boy who made me a mom; a little part of my heart that lives beyond me.
Happy Mother's Day.
