Letters to My Son - May

Friday, May 16, 2014

I'm taking part in a blog circle with some other fabulous women, where each month I will include a letter to my baby boy along with a few pictures that capture the emotion and love I feel for him.  I hope that you will enjoy this feature as much I have enjoyed the process, and will also take the leap to the next blog in the circle each month.

My precious boy,

I know I have written before that when we were told at our ultrasound appointment that you were all boy, I wasn't sure what to expect because I just wasn't familiar with all things BOY.  I sometimes wish I knew then what I know now.

You are such a wonderful treasure.  I love watching you play, from shooting hoops, to climbing slides, to stacking blocks.  Right now you are developing preferences for how and when you play, and you are starting to direct how we engage in that play with you.  We are working on taking turns, and practicing patience when things don't always go your way.

Of course you have more toys than we really have space for, and the toys always seem to find a way to scatter across all floors of our house, but I guess that means we have played hard.  You my child, are our greatest blessing.

Continue to play, continue to dream and continue to be you.
I love you!

Now please take the leap to continue on with the circle and read Jacqui's monthly letter.

  1. Love that thoughtful expression while stacking his blocks and the joy on his face on top of the slide! Great capture of this time, Leslie!
